Classes There are no classes scheduled at this time. The League offers a variety of education programs for experienced rehabilitators who are renewing their skills or learning new ones, for apprentice rehabilitators, and for volunteers and others who want to learn more about wildlife rehabilitation. The curriculum for rehabilitators is designed by the League's Rehabilitator Education Committee and classes are taught by experienced licensed rehabilitators and other wildlife or subject matter professionals. These classes do not qualify you as a wildlife rehabilitator. Individuals must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia (and by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service if you work with birds) and serve a two-year apprenticeship in order to rehabilitate wildlife. Many of WRL's classes provide continuing education credit, required as part of a license to rehabilitate wildlife. All classes are free to WRL members, unless otherwise indicated. Fee for non-members is $25. Please call 703.391.8625 to register or email: wrl@wildliferescueleague.org
