The Mission

From Rescue to Release

Even with all of the Covid-19 restrictions, wildlife issues don’t stop. If anything, with more people at home, wildlife sightings and rescues have increased. So far in 2020, calls to the Wildlife Rescue League Helpline have more than doubled from 2019, already totaling over 2100!

Our rehabilitators are caring for many more animals, resulting in the need for more supplies, formula, bird seed, vegetables, nesting materials and cages.

Raise Funds or Donate for Wildlife Rehabilitation

Your personal fundraising campaign will follow the milestones an animal in need of care goes through.

Helpline - $100

Upon finding an animal in distress, the public contacts the WRL helpline to determine what action should be taken.

Rescue - $200

If the animal needs further care or treatment, the public contains the animal as directed by the Helpline.

Veterinary Clinic - $300

If the animal needs medical assessment and/or treatment, the public takes it to one of WRL’s partner vets.

Transport - $400

Once the animal has been assessed and treated, a WRL volunteer transporter drives it to a rehabilitator for follow-up care.

Rehabilitation - $500

The rehabilitator, feeds, warms, grooms and cares for the animal until it is ready for release.

Release - $600

The animal is released back into the wild, either back to its home territory or in a park or forest where is can find food and shelter.
