Now the director of her own nonprofit, FoxTales Wildlife Rehab, Beth has transformed her entire first floor into a dedicated wildlife space, featuring a general wildlife room, a fox nursery, a raccoon nursery, and a quarantine/ICU room. Her most memorable WRL experiences include field rescues of orphaned fox kits stuck in sheds; responding to calls that came through WRL when no one else, including animal control, would help.
As a CT scan technologist working night shift for over 15 years, Beth balances her healthcare career with her passion for wildlife. She shares her home with three dogs, five cats, two miniature highland cows, an assortment of ducks and chickens, and her educational animals: two red foxes, a raccoon, and a skunk. She is also an avid hiker who has traveled cross-country to explore national parks and summited Mount Pilchuck, in Washington state, at 5,300 feet! Beth’s greatest love remains foxes—especially the Tibetan fox.
